After a very intensive negative discussion over Flipkart’s decision of deferring the joining date of IIMA grads, the company is trying to get its old executives back.
Since Binny Bansal got the position of CEO of the Flipkart, he has been trying to get some Ex-senior employee back in their crucial roles. Flipkart experienced some high-level exits in the last year. Kalyan Krishnamurthy, who was the Head of categories, left the company in 2014 and joined Flipkart’s investor Tiger Global Management is returning to the company in the role he left.
Flipkart is Bringing Back its Ex-Employees
Surprisingly Flipkart acquired a mobile payment startup “Phonepe” a few months back. The main reason behind this acquisition is to get its Ex-executives Sameer Nigam and Rahul Chari back.
Sameer has been serving the company as the Senior Vice President of Engineering when he left in July 2015, and Rahul was serving in the role of Vice President of Supply Chain until November last year.
Binny Bansal is trying to bring the former finance executive Vaibhav Gupta back into the company. But he is not in moods to come back right now.
Flipkart is in a desperate situation to bring their former executives back immediately to bring its brand value back. Let’s see how many executives they can take up to their board.
