The Flash is an American television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, airing on The CW. It is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / Flash, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the power to move at superhuman speeds.
Premiered in North America on October 7, 2014, where the pilot became the second-most watched premiere in the history of The CW.It has been well received by critics and audiences, and won the People’s Choice Award for “Favorite New TV Drama” in 2014. The second season premiered on October 6, 2015, with the series renewed for a third season in March 2016, and scheduled to premiere on October 4, 2016.
Flash fans have no end to being ecstatic especially after the news of “Harry Potter” star Tom Felton’s addition to the cast. While it has been revealed that Felton’s character, Julian Dorn, will also be a crime scene investigator in the Central City Police Department, not much has been disclosed about his relationship with other characters.
It is entirely possible, however, that Felton will portray Cobalt Blue in “The Flash” season 3. For everyone who is unfamiliar with the character, Cobalt Blue was originally Barry Allen’s twin brother who was raised as Malcolm Thawnes because of a doctor’s error.
Dr. Alchemy was revealed as the season’s other main villain during San Diego Comic-Con, at which a new trailer for the upcoming third season was unveiled.
The third season will open with an episode titled “Flashpoint,” referencing the comic book event of the same name. The Flash star Grant Gustin, however, revealed that while the effects of the premiere will linger, the show’s take on the Flashpoint story may not last as long as some fans are expecting.
The latest news from The Flash camp? Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that we will be getting a two-part episode of The Flash set in Gorilla City.
“The Flash” season 3 will be seen for the first time on Tuesday, October 4, at 8 pm ET on the CW.
