Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was surrounded with controversies much before its release, due to the casting of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. And, now it seems that Karan Johar has once again landed himself up in a turmoil. However, people are going bonkers over a dialogue in the film which demeans the legendary singer Mohammed Rafi. And now Goa DGP MukteshChander has expressed how heart wrenching it is for all the Rafi fans as well as him to witness such a demeaning dialogue against the late singer in the film.
I am musically connected to Rafi Saheb & play his songs on flute. Any uttrance against a great singer hurts his millions of fans like me.

However, the degrading dialogue from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is delivered by Anushka Sharma, which says that Mohammed Rafi used to cry through his songs. (“Mohammad Rafi? Woh gaate kam, rote zyada the na?”).
MohammedRafi’s son Shahid Rafi was also deeply saddeneddue to the scenario. Therefore, Shahid has asked Karan Johar to make a public apology and demanded him to delete the scene from the film. Nevertheless, as per a report by NDTV Movies, PTI reported that Shahid mentioned in a statement saying he has got no idea how Karan used the dialogue in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. And being the director he should have thought about it, Shahid also mentioned that Karan is supposed to be a good director. Therefore, it was not expected from him.
Nevertheless, Shahid concluded his statement saying“I saw the clipping. I haven’t seen the film, so let me see the film first then I will think what to do. But a public apology (from Johar) is appreciated, and also removal of the scene. Although the damage is done. Let’s see what he can do from his side,”.
However, even singer Sonu Nigam wanted to get a confirmation regarding the demeaning dialogue against Mohammed Rafi in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil through a tweet. Well! it seems that things are falling apart for Karan Johar due to the steps taken by him. And now he might have to make a public apology for insulting the legendary singer through his movie.
