Fan Life Time Box Office Collection: Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Fan’ got released on April 15, 2016 and despite of many speculations before hand, the Bollywood release could not generate revenue in such manner. Directed by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the movie got acclamation from critics but audience could not relate with the story-line. The plot of the movie revolved around a super star and his obsessive fan. His obsession reached to an extreme point and thus the climax is kept before us. Audience found it too gruesome and were quite annoyed with the story-line. This might be the sole reason that hampered the FAN Box office collection of ‘Fan’ all over the world.

When the movie released, first weekend collection was marvelous. Infact the ,movie earned the most in its first day Friday box office collection worldwide. It hit the multiplexes in more than 10,000 screens. Gradually it lost creating magic and attracting audiences. It tumbled down in its second week. Monday preview was worst ever and the collection got affected. Although thought to be a 100 crore film, Fan could not exceed more than 85 crores INR, till date. The collections include India and Overseas.

The total, or say, Lifetime Fan Box office collection of Fan in India is 80 crores INR. The main reason of such low income was it’s plot. Shahrukh being in a double role carried it excellently and gave a positive and negative performance stupendously. Still, audience gave negative reaction at first watch. They could not find it interesting. well, the movie got in trouble at very first moment when it had to cut 6 scenes and 1 visual scene from the movie. It had problems with rating certificate too. Facing all odds, it got released but faced a thud from the audience side.

The movie had no competition when it hit the theaters abroad. But fans residing overseas could not digest the story line of Fan. They had just one query which was, How come such super star have grudges to such extent? Well, the answer lies in climax. Though the movie got thumbs up in its first two days but Sunday was a big blow out of which the movie fell from the multiplexes. People love Shahrukh out of India and has a huge fan following but the movie came out to be entirely different rather than showering love towards its Fan. How-so-ever, the Bollywood release earned mere 5 crores INR in its Lifetime Fan box office collection in overseas.
Despite being a King Khan movie, FAN created no magic at the box office. Now the only hope stays is the release of Raees. But still there will be a serious tug of war as Salman’s Sultan is getting released on the same day ; on the pious occasion of Eid, this year.
