Facebook Hires Ex-Google

Facebook, the social media giant, is slowly moving its steps towards creating its world of internet. Can you remember the happenings of “Free Basic Internet” which created lots of ups and down in the world? Now it has geared up for its new high-speed net-connect projects. Probably, that’s why it has hired one of the co-founders of Google’s Fibre high-speed internet project to make its internet connectivity team more mature.

Facebook has moved an intelligent strategy here and has hiredKevin Lo as the director of the team ofInfrastructure Connectivity and Investmentsto help Facebook led programs like “Terragraph” where it aims to bring broad wi-fi bandwidth in dense urban areas. Recently Facebook has gone into a partnership with Microsoft to build high-speed fibre cable.

Mr.Kevin Loconfirmed the appointment on his Facebook page. He stated that he would help the company to bring over four billion people who are lagging behind in using high-speed data connectivities.

He wrote-

He joined Google in the year of 2010 and gave Google an idea and co-founded Google’s fibre optics project. He was the all-in-all there and used to manage everything starting from theproduct, business, and operations, etc.

It seems Facebook has come into a direct competition to provide Internet service like Google Fibre and probably that’s why it has poached Google’s best technologist for its project, though Facebook ignored the questions raised after the appointment.
