The temple is known as Birla Mandir because it was formed by the famous industrialist B. D. Birla in the year 1938. Constructed in red sandstone and snowy white marble, the shrine is a gorgeous sight to witness. The temple is spread across more than seven acres of land and it houses various deities, a splendid garden and a hall for spiritual discourses. There are also stunning fountains in temple. There is a large horse-drawn chariot formed in marble that adds to the magnificence of the temple. Lotus Temple Lotus temple is a distinct and one of its kind temples in the whole country. Another distinct feature of temple is its exclusive architecture. The temple is built in the shape of a lotus, constructed in marble having 72 lotus petals, all look divine in snowy white.
