Hanuman Mandir

Hanuman Mandir is one of the oldest temples as it is considered that the temple was constructed during the time of Mahabharata. This temple was then rebuilt in the year 1724 and is located in Connaught Place. This temple has also reserved its place in the Guinness book of world records for incessant chanting of ‘Sri Ram, Jai Ram’. The architecture of this temple is quite gorgeous and the ceiling of this temple has diverse images of Lord Ram. You must visit this temple for a peaceful experience.

Shri Digambar Jain Lal Mandir

This temple was built in 17th century and it is easily visible from far because of its distinct architecture. The temple is built in red stone and is snuggled near the Red fort. There are all in all two storeys and the sanctum is on first floor.  The statues of Thirthankars are also encompassed in the temple.

Birla Mandir

The actual name of this temple is Lakshminarayan temple but the temple is more popularly known as Birla Mandir.  The temple is situated on the Mandir Marg at Connaught Place and it is devoted to goddess Lakshmi and lord Vishnu. The temple is known as Birla Mandir because it was formed by the famous industrialist B. D. Birla in the year 1938.  Constructed in red sandstone and snowy white marble, the shrine is a gorgeous sight to witness. The temple is spread across more than seven acres of land and it houses various deities, a splendid garden and a hall for spiritual discourses. There are also stunning fountains in temple. There is a large horse-drawn chariot formed in marble that adds to the magnificence of the temple.

Lotus Temple

Lotus temple is a distinct and one of its kind temples in the whole country. Firstly there is no sanctum or any types of idols in this temple, as it was formed as per Bahai concept that welcomes all the religions. Another distinct feature of temple is its exclusive architecture. The temple is built in the shape of a lotus, constructed in marble having 72 lotus petals, all look divine in snowy white. A large prayer hall is also there and people can sit and meditate and pray to their deities. This temple was open to visitors in the year 1986.
