The proverb in Bengali which says the expert hits at the last hour came to be true on 19th of April. After huge expectations and lot of requests the king came out of his den and ruled over the road rally from Dhakuria to Garia. He is none other than the Ex CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, who accompanied two of the young candidates of Southern Kolkata who are Shatarup Ghosh, contesting from Kasba constituency and Madhuja Senroy contesting from Tollygunge.

This was the bigday of the electoral campaigns at Kolkata for the Hand and Hammer-Sickle. The crowd at the show was something remarkable and undoubtedly a cheering one. For Bhattacharya, who kept himself away from the campaigns and public gatherings for so long due to physical illness, appeared at the last day of campaign. By many experts it is being said that this was very important on the part of both the parties. Apart from these faces one more important face of the leaders of CPIM who was spotted at the rally was Sujan Chakraborty. He said that the crowd itself is a symbol of the probable victory of the ally. It seems that the leaders this time are much confident.

Leaders say that this was not just a political rally but also a rally of the general people and the crowd was the symbol of what people of West Bengal want. Apart from this many more important and remarkable gatherings took place at different places of Kolkata. On the part of the new ally the most important one and also the biggest one was at Panihati where leaders like Gautam Deb, Ritabrata Banerjee, Omprakash Mishra and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury addressed the crowd.
