Ducati Motors, the biggest motorcycles’ manufacturer company of Italy has plans to introduce new ‘basic’ Monster motorcycle at the 2017 EICMA in Milan. The spy photo of the new entry in the Monster range has surfaced and if reports to be trusted it is to be a part of Ducati’s 2017 motorcycle line-up. It is rumoured that this bike is the Monster 800 and might be one of the most affordable street fighters from the Bologna-based two-wheeler maker.
Currently, the Spy picture that goes viral shows the Monster 800 may retain some traditional Monster design while reportedly getting the Scrambler’s 803cc air-cooled engine. According to the news the Monster 800 draws design inspiration from the Monster 821; it got the air-cooled engine on the Monster 800 from its another range Scrambler. The new Monster 800 displays 803cc and is bestowed with two valves per cylinder, with an L shape, which is a trademark Ducati style. The engine’s peak power is 75PS and peak torque is 68Nm.
Monster 800 bikes are retaining the headlamp design of on the Monster series, along with the fuel tank and seat design. But the alloy wheels and brakes will be inspired from the Monster 821. Monster 800 will keep the ABS as standard.
Kawasaki Z800 and Triumph Speed Triple are the biggest competitors of Ducati Monster 800. The bike has assured to keep its price affordable to offer a street fighter to the people.
