Ducati has unveiled its limited edition Diavel Diesel motorcycles in India. Launched at Rs 19.92 lakhs, the new motorcycle has been launched keeping in mind the upwardly urban mobile. the new Ducati Diavel Diesel is a limited edition model thanks in major part due to the alliance between Andrea Rosso, who is the creative director of Diesel Licences, and the Ducati Design Center. Known for its high-performance motorcycles, the design element has been kept in mind in this instance.
The new Diavel Diesel will see only 666 units being manufactured. In this instance, therefore, 666 is not an unlucky number. The Ducati Diavel Diesel combines excellent hardware and superb handling with a hand-brushed stainless steel structure as its chassis. Along with its visible welding and obvious rivets, the general feeling which the motorcycle exudes is that it has been worked upon. The hard work is also evident when you look under the hood as well. An exposed tank cover, similarly exposed front cowl together with the passenger saddle cover make this new Ducati worthy of its lineage.
This is not the first time that Ducati and Diesel have joined hands to produce a superbike. The last instance was in 2012 when the Ducati Monster Diesel had been released. This new Ducati is a fine specimen of precision engineering. Powering the brute is the same L-Twin engine which is capable of producing over 160bhp of peak power and 130Nm of peak torque. This special and limited edition Diavel Diesel edition comes equipped with the Ducati Safety Pack (which includes ABS and Ducati Traction Control) and superbly thought-out Riding Modes.
The most striking feature is the seat, which resembles a honeybee’s sting. The lateral air intake covers are made of red methacrylate; the diesel logo can be seen inside. To ensure better colour coordination, the Brembo front brake calipers are also red, as are the five chain links and the LCD dashboard. The monster’s exhaust pipes receive the black Zircotec ceramic treatment. To maintain exclusivity, the black silencers ends have been machined from a block of solid metal. The Diavel Diesel limited edition has a genuine leather seat and each bike gets its own unique numbered plate on its frame.
The Ducati Diavel Diesel Limited Edition comes with a matte black front mudguard, together with rearview mirrors with stem and cup which has been machined straight from a solid metal block. You will need to shell out Rs 19.92 lakhs for the new Ducati. The bike cover supplied as standard is also pretty neat.
