From the very trailer, the essence of the movie Dear Zindagi was very explicit. A slice of life that deals with all the little things; little pain, little laughter that enhances the rhythm of life. The Gauri Shinde directorial has something so tender that makes you feel good with just the trailer or the song of Dear Zindagi. The latest emotional track ‘Just Go To Hell Dil’ has a lot to say about the sadness, heart break and unfulfilled love and friendship.
The song Just Go To Hell Dil features Alia in her emotional self who tries to cope up with a failure and heartbreak all alone. She looks vulnerable yet too strong to hold herself, not letting herself shatter into pieces. Even her crying in her bed is more mature than possible. The best part is she all about herself. The last few seconds of the songs give the glimpse of her process of moving on. It seems like after a hard break up she tried her best to deal with it and then decided to move to Goa and met Shah Rukh, her mentor and a philosopher who will not only teach her to do good in career with her passion cinematography but also to deal with any negativity and set back of life.
Amit Trivedi’s soulful music, Kausar Munir’s lyrics and Sunidhi Chauhan’s powerful voice has given the song Just Go To Hell Dil that clarity of emotional churn ups that is only possible with this trio. It is both soothing and rebellious, one of the best fusion of the recent time for sure!
With an unusual pairing of Shahrukh and Alia Dear Zindagi has already created ample amount of curiosity, and to satisfy that we need to wait until 25th November, the day the movie will be released.
