The Chinese companyCoolpad has launched their most expensive smartphone till date, in India. CalledCoolpad Max, the phone is priced atRs 24,999 and is available at theonline retail website Amazon India exclusively in absolute gold and rose gold colours. One of the highlights ofCoolpad Max is its unique dual-system. According to the company, Max has a secure internal system from where one can download‘fully secure’ apps that’ll help in the protection of security and privacy.
One of the highlights of the device is thephone’s distinct Home and Private spaces which are atwo-in-one kind of experience. Speaking of the areas, the company informs that the Privates an ‘independent and pure’ space that protects the device against malware, while the Home space is where things happen in a quirky manner. “An open external system that has all features expected in a cell phone plus an internal security system which allows for encryption of the phone user’s calls and texts.” The system will enable users to maintain two accounts, and one can be even user two version of any app, for instance, Whatsapp, Twitter, Facebook, etc. It’s obvious that apps installed in the Private space will be more secured thanks to thegrass-root level encryption provided by Coolpad.
Switching the two apps are easy enough. All you’ll have to do is tap on the particular icon. Some of the other features include the ability to freeze selected apps and a64GB internal memory. Apparently installing two versions of the same app will consume more space as will the updates. Added to these the phone supports external storage via a microSD card.
The smartphone has a full-metal unibody. It’s worth noting Coolpad’s top selling phones are made of plastic. There’s a fingerprint scanner on the rear end.
