Communist Parties are facing extreme trouble in India. After elections in some states in India communist parties have gone under extinction! They have lost their importance in state and national politics both. In West Bengal, Trinamool Congress thrashed down CPIM and its leftist allies fully. Communist Parties in Bengal have got only 6% seats while ruling party Trinamool wiped them out by securing 72% seats alone. Percentage of vote share for lefts has gone down by 4% if we compare the result of state legislative assembly election with 2014’s Parliament election. Only Kerala put fire in the hope for existence in South India.
All over the world communism started getting collapsed after the breakdown of the Soviet Union and Berlin wall in 1990 and 1991 respectively. Neighbour China has changed many things in their rules and policies and finally came out of the shell of communism. Now only Political structure runs on communism otherwise, nothing is in favour of communism there. In India, West Bengal is the only state, wherecommunists ruled over 35 years after winning seven consecutive assembly elections. But in 2009, parliament election changed the face of Bengal and backed right wing party Trinamool Congress. And finally in 2011, Communist parties lost the state assembly election by a damn defeat where Congress and Trinamool Congress got in a coalition.
But in the election of 2016, Congress surprisingly formed a coalition with lefts but it did not work out properly and both the parties have been wiped out. On the other hand in Assam, BJP won the mandate and lefts have won 8 seats only. Southern State TamilNadu is not an exception. Clearly, communism in India under threat and may be in future it will be read on books only.

ভাবা যায় ! ২১৫ টি আসন। তাও আবার একা লড়াই করে। এক দশক আগে যারা ক্ষমতার অলিন্দে ছিল তারা আজ রাজ্য রাজনীতিতে গুরুত্বহীন! তৃনমূল কংগ্রেস যখন বিজয় পতাকা নিয়ে আনন্দরত, আলিমুদ্দিন স্ট্রীটের সেই বাড়িটিতে অন্ধকার নেমে আসে। জোট রাজনীতি , ঘুষ কেলেঙ্কারী কোনো কিছুই প্রভাব ফেলতে পারল না এই নির্বাচনে, উল্টে গ্রামবাংলা বুঝিয়ে দিল যে তারা, মা মাটি মানুষের সঙ্গেই আছে।অনেক আশা জাগিয়ে শেষে বাতি নিভে গেল কমিউনিস্টদের (বাংলার কমিউনিস্ট). আগামী পাঁচ বছর আপাতত বাংলা মমতার শাসনাধীন। আসন এবং ভোট শেয়ার দুটোই কমেছে কমিউনিস্টদের। এবার ৩২ টি আসন নিয়েই তাদের ভবিষ্যতের লড়াই জারি রাখতে হবে।
“ঠান্ডা ঠান্ডা কুল কুল, আবার এলো তৃনমূল” এই কথাটি সত্যি হয়েই এলো।গত দুদিনের ঝড়ের মতই যেন উড়ে গেল বাংলার কমিউনিস্টস।
