Rohit Karn Batra is making his directorial debut with this film, and in a recent interview he expressed his joy by saying,

“The more the script evolved, the more obvious it became Brendan was the best choice for the idiosyncratic role of Charu, and for a director like me to explore this journey with him in a place like India is nothing less than a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Brendan will be essaying the character named as Charu in the film, and his villainous moves will be making the life of the protagonist hell for sure in the film. In the movie, Charu is a mafia don, and his illicit dealings, improper desire and unethical style of business cause a lot of problems, and to counter that the film’s protagonist will be standing against him toe-to-toe to put in more drama to the film.

Fraser is apparently replacing Ray Liotta, who was roped in to play the villain role when the movie was first announced in 2014. However, he was later replaced by the Fraser as the core script evolved with time.Alongside Brendan, the other main characters of the film “The Field” are Prem Chopra, Ronit Roy, Neeraj Kabi, Vineet Singh and Radhika Apte.
