Bajaj’s upcoming premium motorcycle, Kratos VS400is finally settled to make its debut in India. There were several speculations and was rumoured to come under different names. But finally, the official confirmation came from the company that declared that the new Bajaj Kratos 400 will be launched in 2016 itself. The bike was first showcased as a concept at the 2014 Auto Expo. The bike is based on the Bajaj Pulsar CS400 Concept.
Bajaj Kratos VS400 Features
Bajaj Kratos VS400has some of the most exciting features but the key difference between the concept and the real deal is the front suspension set up. The retained the futuristic looking LED headlamps which is the first for an Indian motorcycle. Apart from that some of the bike’s most prominent features are:
- a fully digital instrument console,
- meaty tyres, stylish radiator shrouds,
- muscular fuel tank with extensions and an auxiliary instrument display,
- split seats (concept had single piece seat),
- stubby silencer and the trademark twin LED taillight strips,
- LCD instrument clusters with the other one placed on the fuel tank and LED taillights, etc.
Bajaj Kratos VS400 Specifications
Bajaj Kratos VS400is going to be the bike maker’s flagship model in India. The churned power can be expected to be around 35bhp, which will be sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is using the same 373.2cc single-cylinder engine. The Bajaj Kratos 400 will closely resemble the concept model for the production purpose. The telescopic front forks though instead of USDs, while dual-channel ABS can be expected to be part of the bike’s specifications.
This Pune based bike manufacturer, Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the all new Bajaj Kratos VS400, which is also known as Pulsar CS400 (previously given) in India by the end of November or early December 2016. The price for Bajaj Kratos VS400 is estimated to start from around INR 1.5 lakhs.
