Baahubali 2: Does It Earn Rs 200 Crores From the Theatrical Rights?

Truly speaking, when we talk about the movie Baahubali: The Beginning, there revolves only one thing in every fan’s mind, “why Katappa killed Baahubali?” However, continuing to the first installment, we have yet another part of the Baahubali franchise. As of now the second installment of ‘Baahubali’ is in its peak in doing the pre-releasing business. And as expected it is likely to earn almost Rs 200 Crores from the theatrical rights of the film in places such as Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and of course the US. The first installment, ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ has really been a successful film so much so that the audience even now wonder “why Katappa killed Baahubali?” in the end. The first installment has fetched  Rs 174.35 crore in the  AP/T box office, where the lifetime box office collection was Rs 113.75 crore.

The first installment ranked approximately Rs 79.20 crore in Karnataka and sharing stands at almost  Rs 39.50 crore. Successively, the movie earned Rs  55.75 crore in the US box office collection. Baahubali: The Beginning has earned Rs 309.3 crore and fetched Rs 189.49 crore. However, there has been demands as well as competitions for the theatrical rights. And many a leading distribution houses have been in talks when it comes with the producer of Baahubali 2. According to the news, the makers of Baahubali 2 have finalized the deal for the theatrical rights especially in the places Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

However, the second installment of the ‘Baahubali’ franchise, Baahubali: The Conclusion is like to fetch Rs 115 crore to Rs 120 crore approximately in Telegu states. And the news says that a distributor has requested s 40 crores for its distribution rights in North America.
