Avengers Infinity War: Production for Avengers: Infinity War is already underway. What will be the nineteenth instalment in the overall Marvel movie series promises to be a big deal, being a culmination of everything we have seen in the past films. In fact, Infinity War’s storyline is so big that will be presented in two different parts, Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2. Though it is to be kept in mind that co-director Joe Russo has said that the team intends to rename the films to clear the existing confusion about them both being the same film.
Avengers: Infinity War Character Roster- Stephen Strange Returns
Needless to say, the next Avengers film will be the stuff of superhero fantasies. Fans have already got their thinking hats on, churning out different theories every so often. We already know that Avengers Infinity War will have a huge cast as it will basically be an Avengers showdown being led on from the older films. Joe Russo has already said that the upcoming film will feature a large number of the 67 Marvel characters who have already been introduced. The one character that is freshest in our minds is, of course, Dr Stephen Strange.
It is no secret that Benedict Cumberbatch is returning to the upcoming Marvel ensemble as the acclaimed surgeon turned sorcerer. In a scene during the credits of Doctor Strange, the doctor was seen teaming up with the Odinson to look for the latter’s father. It is only a matter of time before we see Cumberbatch join in on some true blue Avengers action.
Doctor Strange producer Kevin Feige has already confirmed that the character is, in fact, returning in Avengers: Infinity War, but has stated that he doesn’t quite know yet to what capacity the character will be used in the film. Other than Strange, all other major characters that we have seen so far will also appear in the upcoming movie. So fans can expect to see the tension soaring once again between the characters as they try together to bring down the greatest enemy they have ever encountered yet.
Avengers: Infinity War– Big Plans for Agent Barton
Hawkeye is quite a popular character in the comics, but in all the Marvel films we have seen so far, he does appear a tad underused. In the first Avengers film, Clint Barton unwillingly served as Loki’s key to bring the Earth under his subordination, and in the fight against Ultron, his role was still far from being on the same scale as those of Iron Man or Captain America. But it is worthy of note that Avengers Age of Ultron decided to take a quick look at Barton’s family, which no one but Fury and Nat knew as existing. In that scene, the exchange between Baryon and his wife made it look like he was going to assume responsibility in the near future (he called the Avengers “my mess” and said he will always look out for them). But that time did not really come in that movie.
Now, fans speculate that Hawkeye will finally have his moment to shine in Avengers Infinity War. And that has been fueled further after Jeremy Renner teased something special for Agent Barton in the upcoming film. Talking about Avengers: Infinity War, the Hawkeye actor said in an interview with Hey U Guys, “There’s some really great ideas, and they are following certain parts of Infinity War. It’s some real exciting stuff for lots of characters, especially for what they’re thinking of doing with Hawkeye.”
This alone is exciting news for fans who think that the underused character should have his own spinoff series. But Renner teased further, “What if I’m dead in the first one? I don’t know. I might already be dead.”
While the latter is not far from being a possibility as there certainly is space for casualties in the massive war that is about to erupt in the next Marvel film, we can be sure that Barton won’t go down before doing something big. But just to retain hope, we will say that Hawkeye isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Watch the interview below and skip over to the 4-minute mark if want to hear Renner talk about The Avengers straight away.
