James Cameron Pushing Technical Boundaries for Avatar 2
Update: Cameron seems to have set another tough goal with Avatar 2. He wants audiences to view the next Avatar film by potentially removing the need for special glasses. According to Independant, speaking at the at the Society Of Motion Picture And Television Engineers said: “I’m going to push. Not only for better tools, workflow, high dynamic range and high frame rates– the things we are working toward. I’m still very bullish on 3D, but we need brighter projection, and ultimately I think it can happen – with no glasses. We’ll get there”. It’s difficult to predict where 3D will be in the future, but has to grow at an incredibly fast pace. So the question is, could 3D without glasses be a thing by the time Avatar 2 released in 2018.
Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver’s Love Story
According to Gamenguide, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) will not be the only pair to have their happy ending in Avatar 2. Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) and Dr Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver) are also going to be the happy pair to tie their knot in the upcoming film. Rumour has it that the Colonel and Dr Grace’s love will take the time to bloom. They’ll think somewhat of adversaries at first and eventually grow affection and fall for each other. Of course, neither Stephen Lang nor Sigourney Weaver has confirmed any of this news so it must take with a grain of salt.
Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington Demand Pay Hike?
Another rumour that is doing the round suggests that the production of Avatar 2 is being delayed owing to Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington as they are obliged to fulfil other commitments. Insiders have claimed both actors are asking for a pay hike and perhaps negotiations are underway. As for now, both Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington are unavailable for comments on the reports.
Avatar TV Show?
Back in July at the 2016 Comic-Con, James Cameroon dismissed reports on an Avatar television show. He said that it was not possible to procure the amount of money that’ll be required for the special effects in an Avatar TV show. He was sceptical anyone would want to invest on such an expensive television show. He was, however, open to the idea of making a cartoon series on Avatar.
Latest Updates on Avatar 2
As per the latest reports rounding up, Filmmaker James Cameron is insisting on taking time whereas the Production unit wants to release the film as scheduled in 2017. Moreover, the plotline would be entirely different to that of ‘Avatar’ with the lead pair Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana might face death in the upcoming sequel Avatar 2. Earlier, our team disclosed regarding the payment hike by both the lead actors after their roles got reprised in the sequel to which all the denials poured in. Well, that must be another reason that Sam and Zoe won’t be continuing in the sequel thus making Stephen Lang as the lead character. James Cameron gave nil response to any of the statements hence keeping himself busy on completing the post-production stage of Avatar 2.
