The news came as a storm after Arnab Goswami’s newly launched news channel, Republic TV revealed some audio tapes that indicate Shashi Tharoor had all the information about her Ex-wife, Sunanda Pushkar’s murder.
Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in a hotel room on 17th January 2014 under mysterious circumstances. She was residing in the Room No. 345 of the reputed Leela Palace in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Her heated up Twitter fight with the Pakistani reporter Mehr Tarar was much of a news at that time. She had passed a message to the media in which she was about to reveal a big scam related to the IPL Tournament, just a day before she was found dead.
She also had her doubts about Shashi Tharoor & Mehr Tarar’s relationship. Additionally, she claimed that Tarar was an ISI Agent and was involved in many scams and conspiracies in India.
If she would have addressed the media that day, it is said that Shashi along with some reputed Congress Party leaders would have exposed. This was the very reason Tharoor wanted his wife to stay off the media and restricted her from giving any statement.
On January 17th, 2014 Sunanda tried to contact a few journalists as she messaged them in the early hours of the day. She asked them to come to the Leela Palace at 4:10 am as she wanted to tell them something important. Sadly, she was found dead in her room just after a few hours she sent the message.
Her death was quoted to be a suicide as she was said to be suffering from depression. Mr. Shashi Tharoor, her husband also confirmed that Sunanda was on medication for depression and her death could be an outcome of overdose.
However, the postmortem reports revealed the true story. As per the reports, there were signs of injury on her body and she died in unusual circumstances. The reports declared that there was some poison injected into her body.
Now, the Republic TV, an Arnab Goswami channel has revealed some shocking facts about Sunanda’s death. The tapes show why Shashi Tharoor stopped Sunanda from addressing the media and also reveals that she was killed in room number 307 and later shifted to room number 345.
Another audio file reveals that Shashi Tharoor visited the hotel room during the day and found his wife dead, he, however, remained silent. This is unlike the statement Tharoor gave which said that he left the room at 7 AM the day Sunanda was found dead and attended the AICC meet. He returned to the hotel back at 8:30 pm only to find Sunanda dead.
