Audi, the brand where the name is enough to make you crave to be the owner of one, has good news for its Indian car lovers. The German luxury carmaker Audi has decided to bring its Q3, the popular crossover-SUV petrol variant in India. If the reports to be trusted the Ingolstadt-based car manufacturer has imported the Audi Q3 30 TFSI model in the country for homologation. A growing inclination towards petrol-powered cars among Indian buyers, Audi is planning to bring in India more petrol cars. Their perspective became clear when Audi launched only the petrol variant of the new A4 sedan instead of the diesel.
If we get into the features of the upcoming gift to India, it will get a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor that will be powerful enough to churn a maximum of 148bhp with a peak torque of 250Nm. The engine will come with an S Tronic automatic gearbox, which transmits power to the front wheel. Moreover, report according to the claims of Audi, the Q3 30 TFSI model can make a 0-100 km/h sprint in 8.9 seconds before it reaches the top speed of 204 km/h.
‘Cylinder on Demand’ is going to be one of the most interesting features of the car that will be able to shut down a couple of cylinders as per the requirement, which the company claims will help in enhancing fuel economy. Audi Q3 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine is already on sale in India gets two states of tune – 138 BHP and 174 BHP. The new 30 TFSI variant will thus become the entry-level trim of the Q3 in InThe report
The report suggests that design and styling of the car will remain same, but the features may vary and some added features may be glued with the new edition in India.
