It feels Jolly LLB 2 has created two new enemies in Bollywood! Yes it is now Arshad Warsi vs Akshay Kumar. As the hit prequel of Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 had the lead of Arshad Warsi, which was replaced by Akshay Kumar, which of course Arshad could not take well. As a result he has taken a new strategy of competition with a film that will release on the same day a movie is releasing where Arshad was the lead in the prequel. Now Arshad release his upcoming film Irada on the same day as Jolly LLB 2 hits the screens: February 10.
Debutant director Aparna Singh’s Irada will feature Arshad Warsi and his Ishqiya co-star Naseeruddin Shah. The producer of Irada, told Mid-Day, “Our film is ready and we are looking at an early release. We were eyeing a window next month and February 10 appears ideal.” Now when he was asked if there is any competitor, in that he replied as Raees and Kaabil have early release and thus there is no such competition. It is like a strategy of saying Arshad Warsi and Akshay are rivals and Akshay is no threat to him.
Director Subhash Kapoor’s Jolly LLB, the prequel of Akshay’s Jolly LLB 2 was a big hit of 2013. Now after 3 years Akshay is trying to bag the record of Jolly LLB’s reputation to make his sequel a bigger one. And it is like Arshad’s desperate attempt to show his anger and prove his declining career once again.
