Apple has just announced a partnership with Nike. “We’ve worked with Nike for over a decade, and we couldn’t be more excited today to announce Apple Watch Nike+,” Apple said.Cook is Nike’s lead independent director on company’s BOD. So it’s not surprising that Nike made its way on stage.
Apple Watch Nike+ to be Available in India from October 28th Onwards
Update:For Apple and running enthusiastic in India, Apple Watch Nike+ will be available in the country on October 28. As for price, the device costs Rs 32,900 in 38mm and Rs 34,000 in 42mm. It’ll be available at select Nike retail stores, at select Apple authorized Reseller, and at select specialty stores. Speaking about the event, Apple’s chief operating officer said: “The response so far has been incredible and we’re thrilled to get Apple Watch Nike+ onto customers’ wrists starting Friday (October 28).” Apple Watch Nike+ will come in colour combinations of black/cool gray, black/volt, flat silver/white and flat silver/volt.
The watch has been designed with runners in mind. We saw the crazy bright yellow band and face in the intro video. Trevor Edwards, president of Nike on stage said: “Nike has always been about innovation and inspiration for every athlete.”
There’s a social network called Nike+ Run Club that gently prods you to run based on weather, your friends, days of the week, and your personal sense of shame. Nike is also doing something called “Just Do It Sundays,” which turned Lauren into a giggle monster. A watch that defaults to a screen reading ‘Are we running today?’ is committing emotional violence against its owner.
