The rumour mill was churning for the last few months regarding the Apple Watch 2, but for the first time, some concrete news has surfaced the market. According to some close sources associated with the project hinted that Apple Watch 2 will get a total makeover with a sleeker design and will also come amazing specs and features.

The famous website for gadgets, Wearable, in their latest post stated that the Apple Watch 2 would be nearly 40% thinner than its predecessor. Apart from this new design, many pundits also claimed that this new wearable from the house of the US-based tech conglomerate would flaunt many software and hardware upgrades too.

The most talked-about rumour regarding this smartwatch is that the wearable will flaunt a selfie camera on its front panel. The analysts claimed that the Apple Watch 2 might flaunt a FaceTime camera as Apple has recently purchased camera patents for the smartwatch. Although, the detailed technical aspects of the camera are still unknown.

There are also reports coming from various sources that the brand new Apple Watch 2 will come with a longer battery life. Another famous website for technology, N4BB reported that the new Apple smartwatch would run on the recently launched WatchOS 3, which has been unveiled during this year’s WWDC event. This all new operating system will sport a new interface, very much alike to the iPhone’s, and will surely provide improved performance.

It is expected that the Apple Watch 2 will include many fitness tracking apps as well as new emergency features, and the speculations are the users can pair up the smartwatch with an iPhone to utilise the emergency services. PC Advisor suggested that the wearable would offer its users many multi-function bands, so that the users can exploit the smartwatch in many ways such as stand, smart clock, etc.

Above all, the upcoming Apple Watch 2 is expected to be waterproof, although the depth of the water the wearable can uphold is still a mystery. The tech-gurus believe that Apple will announce this hugely-anticipated smartwatch in mid-July or in September along with the iPhone 7 and have tested the gadget successfully.
