Android 7.0 Nougat: Wondering if your device will ever be able to get a taste of the Android 7.0Nougat?Two months ago Google officially announced Android 7.0 Nougat update. But since then there has been a lot of speculationon when the update will be rolled out.

Most smartphone companies are being completely mum on the issue, although some likeMotorola and OnePlus have been forthcoming about the matter. To clear things up we have created a list of smartphones that’ll be receiving theAndroid 7.0 Nougat.

Nexus handsets:

Google’s own Nexus phones will be first to receivethe updates.Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Pixel C tablet or a Nexus 9 tablet must have receivednotifications. Moreover, the search giant has released the Android 7.1 developer preview for Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X and Pixel C and promisedthat the devices will receive the updateby December 2016.

Android 7.0 Nougat

Samsung handsets:

The devices that’ll receive the updateareSamsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

Motorola handsets:

The company has confirmed the following devices are set to receiveAndroid 7.0 Nougat update –Moto G4 Play, Moto G (4th Gen), Moto G Play (4th Gen), Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto X-Force, Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2, Moto Z, Moto Z-Droid, Moto Z Force Droid, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Play Droid and Nexus 6.

LG handsets:

LG V10, LG G4 and LG G5 will surely receivethe updatebut we are not so sure aboutLG G3. To recall, LG V20 already runs on Android 7.0 Marshmallow.

HTC handsets:

HTC 10, HTC A9, HTC M9 are confirmed to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update. And speculation is that theHTC Desire 10 Pro and Lifestyle toowill get the update, sooner or later.

Sony handsets:

Xperia XZ, Xperia X Compact, Xperia Z3 , Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, and Xperia X Performance, are set to receiveAndroid 7.0 Nougat update.

OnePlus handsets:

OnePlus handset has their own Oxygen OS. In a Reddit AMA session, OnePlus announced that the company is currently working onAndroid Nougat update for OnePlus 3.

Xiaomi handsets:

The company hasn’t revealed which of its devices will get the updates but we have an idea that the following devices mayreceiveAndroid 7.0 Nougat update –Mi 5, Mi Max, Mi 4s, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 4, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 3, Redmi 3s, Mi Note, Mi Note Pro, Mi Pad 2, and Mi 4i.

Huawei handsets:

Rumour is thatthe company’s upcoming Mate 9 phablet will run the latest version of Android.
