If you are thinking about installing a top of the range cinema room in your property, then take a look at this fantastic installation completed by Custom Controls!
It is truly incredible how they were able to create such a cinema room in a relatively small 6 x 5 metre room, showing that you don’t have to have a massive room to fit a cinema into it. In this installation, there is a large 150-inch wide projector (just under 4 metres!) that can store Artcoustic speakers behind it. There are Spitfire 24-12 speakers at the front left, centre and right, which are boosted by two high quality Control 3 subwoofers.
In terms of the room itself, they installed acoustic lined fabric walls, which are able to hide an additional four Artcoustic Spitfire 8-4 speakers, which are able to offer rear and surround channels with another pair of Architect SL4-2 speakers providing height channels.
The inbuilt Anthem ARC software is able to manage the full room EQ and calibration and works with the speakers above to produce a revolutionary audio experience that few other cinema rooms can even come close to. The new owners decided on a Sony VPL-VW760ES 4k projector, which has a huge 2,000 lumens, that is able to display crystal clear images. Of course, it can play media from Sky TV and Apple TV.
In terms of seating, the client chose to have two rows of comfortable chairs, with single chairs in the front row, with two relaxed seat sofas in a slightly raised back row for lounging around. You will notice that there are tables between the seats, which are perfect for placing drinks and snacks while you enjoy your cinema experience.
There is a Crestron lighting control system installed which is able to ensure that the lamps are set at the optimum level when viewing is in progress. Crestron are also able to manage and control the entire audio video experience, which can be controlled by the user using an iPad.
We love the entire acoustic footprint of this home cinema installation. Custom Controls also added a unique full acoustic fleece wrap before applying the top layer of fabric to the wall to ensure the best sound experience. Every aspect of the room was carefully designed by the in-house cinema design team at Custom Controls to deliver a truly fantastic cinema room for the new owners to enjoy!
