American Gods Season 1:Award-winning author Neil Gaiman has been flooded with praise for his modern fantasy novel American Gods and the readers were highly overwhelmed when Bryan Fuller and Michael Green decided to come up with a television series related to the Hugo and Nebula Award-winning book. And an even more intriguing news which has enthralled fans is the introduction of an all-new character in the television series who was not featured in Gaiman’s book. Therefore, American Gods Season 1 would surely have a lot to put forward when its starts airing on Starz.

According to an exclusive report by Entertainment Weekly, a charactercalled Vulcan will be added to the television series and it will be portrayed by none other than Psych actor Corbin Bernsen. The report has also given an insight into Bernsen’s character, according to which, he will have the traits of a Roman God who has emerged as a modern and successful individual in a country where everything has been ravaged by violence. Showrunner Bryan Fuller mentioned the characteristics of Vulcan by saying“Vulcan’s the god of the volcano and the forge, and what is the modern-day extrapolation of what that god could do?”.The viewers might be thinking if American Gods Season 1 will be able to match up with the intensity of the book or not, but Gaiman’s involvement in the project is a sure marker that the series isnot going to be anything less.
The report also stated that Gaiman himself created the new character who would be seen in American Gods Season 1. Nevertheless, The 100 star Ricky Whittle’s appearanceas a pivotal character in the show has made all his fans curious and now they are just waiting for the upcoming televisionseries to hit the silver screens.
American Gods Season 1 will start airing on Starz from April 2017.
