Hyundai Motor India Limited is relishing its latest success for being the third highest selling cars after Alto and Swift Dzire in June 2016. This is definitely the reason to celebrate. The best-selling model of Hyundai, the Grand i10 is giving Maruti Suzuki’s dominance a cutthroat challenge in top four for the first time in many years. Hyundai India has sold 12,678 units of the Grand i10 in June and has touched 40 percent growth over the same period last year. The best part is Grand i10 overtook some of the Maruti Suzuki models such as the WagonR and the Swift, one of the leading names of Indian automobile.
Alto kept its position with a selling of 15,750 units decline in sales by 25 percent from last year, followed by Swift Dzire that found 15,560 buyers in June, though this model too saw a drop in the sale of 29percent. Maruti Suzuki model, the WagonR is the fourth selling car of 2016, with 11,962 unit sales. Renault Kwid sold 9,459 and got the fifth position. Maruti Suzuki Swift has grabbed the sixth position, where Hyundai Elite i20 is holding the seventh spot, The Baleno found 6,967 takers along with the position of eighth, and Celerio with 5,797 the ninth and Maruti Suzuki Ritz with 4,682 got the tenth spot.
The top ten selling car list of the year has revealed the positions of the brands and models and it actually reflects how the automobile business is running in India and most importantly which are those models or the brands who are winning the hearts of the Indian buyers.
