As per reliable sources, the makers first decided to grab Morgan Freeman, but due to date problems, they closed the deal with Pacino. The movie is in the midst of its production which is to be shot in New York so those part of the film would be with the Hollywood actor. As of now, the production unit is busy narrating and explaining the project thus trying best to convince Hollywood legend for a start. If the new comes as confirmation, then it would be a major boost to Southbound film industry thus giving the best of publicity to Dhanush’s production unit. This is not the first time that Southern filmmakers have tried to rope in Hollywood legends. Earlier, Director Shankar gave his best shot to engage Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger as the main antagonist in Enthiran 2 (Robot 2) but things did not fall into places and went on forward to Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. The star is now playing the grey shade opposite Rajinikanth. It also comes as that Dhanush is all set to enter Hollywood in a major production house venture where he will be acting opposite Hollywood star Uma Thurman and Alexandra Daddario as a lead artist. In fact, he also made an announcement regarding the film and his role thus stating that he will be playing the titular character which has been titled as “The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Cupboard” directed by Iranian-French filmmaker Marjane Satrapi. The untitled film which is being made under Dhanush’s home production will be working for the first time with filmmaker Karthik who has given superhits like Jigarthanda and Pizza. The final announcement regarding the cast and crew along with Al Pacino’s name is yet to be declared which will also mark the entry of Hollywood legend in the Indian Film Industry in an official manner.
