The official premiere synopsis reveals:“In the season premiere episode, ‘The Ghost,’ Ghost Rider is coming, and S.H.I.E.L.D will never be the same.”Season 4 is going to introduce an entirely new version of Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna).Reyes is a mechanic who takes care of his disabled little brother Gabe. But unlike how we are used to seeing the character, Reyes doesn’t wonder the city in a super cool bike, althoughhe does owna 1969 Dodge Charger, also known as the Hell Charger.
We are not sure what’ll he do when he meets the team, but the executive producer has already revealed that althoughFitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) are going to have difficulty figuring out where his powers come from, he isn’t “Inhuman.”
In Season 3 finale, while on one hand Jason O’Mara’s unnamed character become director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the agency no longer remained secret, on the other hand, Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Mack (Henry Simmons) were looking for Inhumans.
“[The Marvel Cinematic Universe]started out with a guy building a suit using science, and then we met aliens that are the origin of the myths behind some of our gods, and this year ‘Doctor Strange’ comes out,” Jed Whedon told Entertainment Weekly. “We’re opening it up even further to the world of things we don’t totally understand, or as Thor says, ‘Magic is science that we don’t understand.’ Well, we’re getting into some very, very fancy science.”
