The latest release from Aamir Khan, Secret Superstar, has been applauded all over the world for its unique and intriguing storyline. It has created quite an impact on all the people who watched the movie. What was most surprising was the avatar that Aamir Khan adopted for the movie. Everyone was left in awe and bafflement on seeing him as a music composer in the movie by the name of Shakti Kumar. The movie went on to become one of the sleeper hits of 2017 and enjoyed a good review from both the critics as well as the audience. The content of the movie was heart-touching and both critics and the audience could not help but give the movie a good review.
When asked about his response to the reviews that Secret Superstar got, Aamir Khan said, “This year has really been special because of the response Secret Superstar received. It was heartwarming and satisfying. And it did great business for the kind of film it was. Even though my role was smaller, I thoroughly enjoyed the part. I was happy to work with Advait Chandan.” Secret Superstar revolves around the story of a young girl, Insiya Malik, portrayed by Zaira. She aspires to become a singer but her father does not allow her to pursue her dreams. The little girl is left with no choice but to take the route of a rebel, pursuing her dreams online, and she keeps her identity hidden and seeks the help of a small time music director Shakti Kumar, who helps her achieve her dreams.
Produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Zee Studios, and Akash Chawla, Secret Superstar is written and directed by Advait Chandan. The film was released on October 19 and is still going strong at the box office.
