
A legend from the Bollywood that does not require any of the introductions to anyone is A.R. Rehman. On the successful completion of his 25 golden years in the industry, he has decided to set the stage on fire in four different cities. He gave the name “A R Rahman ENCORE” to this concert in association with MTV that held in the national capital at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex on Dec 24, 2017. And the other 3 cities included Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.
Along with many of his melodious songs, since, this event was just ahead of Christmas on December 25, he even graces the occasion by playing a Christmas medley on his piano. It was all- together a three-hour concert including many other great singers from Bollywood like Ranjit Barot, Neeti Mohan, Jonita Gandhi, Mohit Chauhan, Javed Ali, Shaashaa Tirupati, Hriday Gattani, and Harshdeep Kaur.
Rahman mesmerized the entire audience by singing all his hits including Naadaan Parindey etc. As a tribute to his motherland, he also beautifully set the tone for his another track Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera, including many other tracks like Chaiyya chaiyya, Mustafa mustafa, O humdum suniyo re, Tu hi re, Tere bina, Jana gana mana, Jo bhi main, Tum tak, Jiya jale, Urvashi and Humma. The crowd seemed quite exciting and most of the time, whistling, yelling and having a blast. The event was also being supported by Swacch Bharat campaign which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Gandhi Jayanthi last year.
