According to rumours, Xiaomi has been working on a smartphone for a long time. Early rumours suggested that thesmartwatch has launchdelayed to second half of this year. New rumours suggestXiaomi first smartwatch is likely to debut as early asAugust 25. And it’ll be launched along withthe Xiaomi Redmi 4.
Xiaomi Mi Smartwatch
The news comes from the Chinese Mobile Phone League Secretary General on Weibo, who also informed that the price of the Xiaomi Mi Smartwatch would be very high. This may disappointsome fans since we are used to seeing super cheap and affordable devices made byXiaomi.
The wearable is expected to be launched in this month, and according to reportsXiaomi’s smartwatchcould be priced somewhere around 999 Yuan (Rs 10,000 approx). From what we’ve heard, thesmartwatch is being manufactured by Huami, the company which makes the Mi Bands for Xiaomi. In a recent interview,Huami’s CEO Wang confirmed that they are working on a smartwatch.
Ahead of the launch, we have come across a couple of leaked renders that seems to reveal that the smartwatch will sporta circular display and a Mi logo at the top. There are going to be two physical buttons on the right side as well.
Xiaomi Redmi 4
According to the Geekbench listing, the Xaiomi Redmi 4willfeature a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display that’ll bepowered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.02GHz and will bepaired with Adreno 506 GPU and 3GB of RAM. Although a couple of other leaks suggests, the handset will run onMediaTek’s Helio X20 deca-core chipset. So we are speculating that the device may come in two variants. Xiaomi may launch the MediaTek variant in China and the Qualcomm version in India. It’s likely to be backed by a4,100mAh battery.
According to reports, Xiaomi is also planning to launch the next-generation Mi Band 2 in this quarter. Stay tuned for more news.
