Rajasthan is a land of festivals and celebrations. These festivals and fares bring in joy and unity to the simple lives of the people of Rajasthan. Gangaur is one such festival celebrated all over Rajasthan in one form or the other. So, if you are booking a Jaipur Tour package during March- April, make sure to attend the festival. Though every festival that you attend under the Rajasthan Tour Packages is enjoyable, the Gangaur holds a special place as it celebrates the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

‘Gan’ is the synonym for Lord Shiva and ‘Gauri’ or ‘Gaur’ for Goddess Parvati. Gangaur celebrates the union of the two. Married women worship Gauri for seeking blessings for the good health and longevity of their husbands.  Unmarried girls also worship Gauri to be blessed with good husbands.
