And while it’s true that there are a ton of student deals for laptops, but the same can’t be said if you aren’t one and you have to rely on online sales and dealer discounts if you want to avoid spending excess. We pick out laptops at different budgets so that you can quickly pick one without too much fuss, comparing for deals for hours at ends. So, without further ado, here are our picks from under Rs.35000.Dell Inspiron#1. Acer Swift 3: The swift series from Acer is renowned for employing a slim aesthetic with a sleek design and power components. At roughly Rs.35500 depending on where you’re getting it from, the Swift 3 is one of the best laptop under Rs.35000 especially considering the fact that it’s an ultra-portable and weighs just 1.5 Kilos. At this price point, the Swift 3 can be equipped with a 6th gen Intel Core i3 Processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB M.2 SSD.Now for those of you who know your hardware, you know how important a PCIe M.2 hard drive is for the current generation of software and OS’es. And if that weren’t impressive enough, the battery life stands at anywhere between 5-8 hours depending on the type of work that you are doing. The Swift 3 is no gaming monster as it lacks a dedicated GPU but that’s probably not what you are looking for a daily driver to take to the office and college. The I/O is quite impressive too as it is perhaps one of the few in this segment to offer proper Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac for universal connectivity. The rest of the I/O also comprises of 1x USB 3.0 Type-C, 1x USB 3.0 Type-A, 1x USB 2.0, SD card reader, HDMI and a 3.5mm Headphone jack.#2. Lenovo G50-80: For a gamer-centric laptop, the Lenovo G50-80 is a decent choice if you are one of those casual gamer types. It has a very decent core i3 5005U coupled with an AMD R5 M330 Graphics with 2GB of dedicated GDDR3 VRAM and 4GB DDR3 system RAM.Also, it gets a 1TB hard drive which is quite plentiful. Now this is a chunky laptop but that is to be expected because of the dedicated GPU and as a result it weighs in at nearly 2.5Kilos which is kind of heavy. But nonetheless, the build quality is pretty good and you get a decent screen for all your multimedia needs.I/O wise, it has 2x USB 2.0, 1x – USB 3.0, HDMI, Ethernet, 3.5mm jack, DVD R/W, Bluetooth v4 and Wi-Fi AC. The dedicated graphics in this laptop is from the low end so don’t expect all new games to run as well as slightly older titles but it can certainly handle all casual gaming needs with ease. Now for the best part, this costs just a shade over Rs.33,000 making it one of the few laptops in this segment to have a dedicated video card.Laptop #3. Asus Vivobook 15 X510UA-EJ796T: There are few or none slim Ultrabook’s in this price bracket and almost all of them are in some way slightly underwhelming in terms of specifications. Well, Asus says otherwise with their Vivobook 15 – X510UA-EJ796T which is my pick for one of the best laptops under Rs.35,000.Let’s start with the looks, it has a really slim profile, and it is quite a looker although you can’t help but think that it borrowed certain design queues from the much more expensive MacBook. One of the two noteworthy features of this laptop is that it has a Full HD 1920×1080 display, which has incredibly thin bezels, and the second noteworthy feature would be the inclusion of a USB 3.1 Type-C port, both of which are extremely rare in this price bracket.Speaking of performance, it is powered by a 7th Gen Intel I3 7100U, 4GB DDR4 RAM and 1TB HDD. It is an extremely battery efficient configuration and should see you through an entire working day of usage, thanks to its 3 cell Li-Po battery.#4. HP 15Q-BU006TU: HP is a very popular choice of brand in this price segment and as such they like to play their cards very carefully as to not lose any of the goodwill of potential customers. The HP 15Q-BU006TU is a popular choice among many laptop buyers in this price segment because of HP’s dependability and their customer service.Speaking of the laptop, it sports a very minimalistic design and doesn’t go out of its way to be flashy but it does have a nice textured wrist rest and trackpad. The main USP’s of the HP’s design is its keyboard which is easily among the best in this comparison, closely trailed by the Asus Vivobook x15. As for Specifications, it is quite modest but effective as it rocks an Intel i3 6060U dual core clocked at 2GHz and also 8GB DDR4 RAM which is impressive for its price.Storage is taken care of via a 1TB hard Drive. The only downer here is that it doesn’t come with any preloaded OS to boot. I/O is impressive too as it features 2xUSB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI 1.4(b), 3.5mm audio port, DVD/CD R/W and a 3 format SD card reader. It also comes with Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 to sweeten the deal. At Rs.31,000 or thereabouts, it is a decent work laptop that blends in good features at a really affordable price.Decent laptops are really can easily go amiss, and since most of the people buying a laptop have no idea about what they are getting, OEMs often to cash in on that.
