Musk gets government approval from USA to build Northeast corridor

Elon Musk once said, ‘if something is important enough, even if the odds are against you, you should still do it.’ He has implemented the same in his life repeatedly and has not given up. Often described as an eccentric billionaire with futuristic inventions, he has not stopped at any cost starting his career with $2000 and his net worth is estimated at about $17.4 billion and described as one of the most powerful people on the planet. He founded a company while stuck in traffic, christened it The Boring Company and recently tweeted that his company got verbal approval from the US government to build a Hyperloop tunnel to connect New York, Baltimore, Washington DC and Philadelphia.

The Hyperloop tunnel technology was developed by Elon Musk back in 2013 and the concept assures a travel between New York City and Washington DC within 29 minutes. He argues that he was too busy with his other companies Tesla and SpaceX to devote time to The Boring Company. What started as a joke, to test the concept in his Los Angeles facility of SpaceX, has now apparently got government approval. The tunnel in Los Angeles recently finished with its first section and Musk has released many photos and videos demonstrating the working of the Hyperloop One. It is an ultra-fast mode of underground travel driven by linear induction motors and air compressors.

It is speculated that Elon Musk might have got the approval from a senior advisor to President Donald Trump, his son-in-law Jared Kushner who had expressed interest in the Hyperloop underground high-speed rail system across the Northeast corridor.

A Twitter user asked Musk if the Hyperloop system could come to Texas as well to which Musk replied that after the completion of the Los Angeles and New York to Washington DC tunnels, he would start a Los Angeles to San Francisco loop and then perhaps a loop in Texas as well.
