Jab Harry Met Sejal: Shah Rukh Khan to visit Ahmedabad

The upcoming film starring the Baadshah of Bollywood and Anushka Sharma, Jab Harry met Sejal has hit the news again. Shah Rukh Khan had announced a contest for his upcoming film in which he announced that he would visit the city with the most number of women named ‘Sejal’ who would write to him. ‘What you seek is seeking you’ is the tagline of the film and Shah Rukh took it to the next step.

The results of the contest came out and 7000 women named ‘Sejal’ wrote to the actor. The city that won the contest is Ahmedabad and Shah Rukh Khan is set to meet the women named ‘Sejal’ in the city. He will also launch the first song of the film titled ‘Radha’ in Ahmedabad.

Production of the movie began in April 2016 and filming began in August 2016. The movie is filmed in various locations around Europe including Prague, Lisbon, Amsterdam and Budapest and also in Punjab. It is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Imtiaz Ali who is also the writer of the movie. The movie is also set to feature a song by Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh. The movie was titled ‘Production no. 52’ and has undergone many name changes including Ring, Rahnuma and Raula but the crew and production house settled on Jab Harry met Sejal finally.

The title of the film refers to the two lead roles in the movie, played by Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Khan is set to play the role of Harinder Singh Nehra and Anushka Sharma is to play the role of a Gujarati girl Sejal Parikh. It is reported that Khan would be playing the role of a tourist guide who meets a vacationing girl from Gujarat, Anushka Sharma.

The film is set to hit the screens on August 4 this year.
