This ‘hanikarak Bapu’ has now targeted the latest release Phillauri over a ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ scene. Few days back Anurag Kashyap said that at the age of the internet, there is no need an institute like The Central Board of Film Certification. There are lots of questionable ground for CBFC as they are too conservative and is always against anything progressive or something that is needed to be shown and discussed. But they act too adamant and destroy artistic freedom. The whole point of argument from their side is based on a particular scene in the movie Phillauri, where had shown when the ghost of Anushka appeared in front Suraj Sharma, he started to chant Hanuman Chalisa while sitting in his bathtub. Now as Hanuman Chalisa is very sacred to the Hindus and is known to be pious enough that can drive away any negative energy. But in the movie when Suraj chanted to drive away Anushka’s ghost, she did not move. So it implemented that the chant did not affect her! According to t the sources close the Central Board finds that this particular scene can hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community. The CBFC has ordered the makers to remove ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ from the film’s soundtrack. The makers have agreed to omit the scene, and now the actor will be seen reciting a prayer, but the prayer won’t be heard out loud. Anushka Sharma is playing the role of a happy ghost in Phillauri, and her fellow actor is Suraj Sharma who is doing Bollywood debut after Life of Pi’. Apart from him, the movie will also feature Diljit Dosanjh. This is Anushka’s second movie after NH10, which she is producing. The movie has released today and is getting positive responses from the critics and audiences.
