The new Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 Specs and Features The new Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 is a well thought out 2-in-1 laptop which runs on Windows 10. It features a sensible detachable keyboard and has a 12-inch display. The 3:2 display ratio is reminiscent of the Microsoft Surface. Such an aspect ratio offers more display space on the screen. With a QHD resolution, the display boasts of a 2,160 x 1,440 pixels of resolution and offers a very respectable 216 pixels per inch. The new Toughbook has, for obvious reasons, been built for performance even under direct sunlight, aiding in outdoors performance. It offers a luminance of 1200 nits rendering an extremely bright display even when being used in daytime. Other features include a 7th-generation Intel Core processor, a 2-MP front camera, and a very sharp 8-MP rear primary camera. The rear camera has Windows Hello support. Connectivity options offered on the new Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 also include USB 3.0, an HDMI port, ethernet support, headset ports and a microSD card reader. This makes it a complete laptop as well. Being a 2-in-1 device, the display is a 10-point touchscreen. Panasonic claims that the new laptop has been designed in a way that even users wearing gloves can use the touchscreen. The IP55 digitizer pen will support Windows Ink fully. The tablet weighs a mere 1.527 kg by itself; when the entire device is assembled, it weighs 2.76kg. The Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 has a unique solution to the battery problem: it has dual hot-swappable batteries which essentially means that the device’s battery can be changed even without switch off the system. This hot-swapping capability will also aid in the outdoor use of the rugged Toughbook. Panasonic has stated that the new Toughbook has been built keeping in mind certain target audiences which include emergency services, field service workers, police, and service technicians who have to spend a majority of their working hours in the open air. Unveiled at the MWC 2017, it will start shipping in Q2 this year. The 3:2 aspect ratio is expected to be a major draw as well.
