Last year in October, Yusuke Naora, the art director of Final Fantasy XV, left the company several weeks before the game was finally released after a long wait. Naora had been associated with Square Enix for more than two long decades, and he affirmed that he would continue to collaborate with the studio on future projects. At present, however, Bruner has confirmed that he will stay on the board of directors during the period of transition. He wrote in a company mail that was published by Kotaku: “We’ve grown aggressively since Telltale’s inception, and now Telltale is bigger than I ever dreamed it would be.” In the last two years, the company has expanded on a number of their most popular titles, including their well-received spin-off based on Gearbox’s Borderlands series, and also delivered a new episodic Batman game titled Batman: The Telltale Series. There are many new entries of significant scale that are currently lined up for release in the current year. “The time has come,” Bruner further writes, “to pass the reins to someone that can better drive Telltale to the next level and realize all the potential that is here.” Watch out for Telltale’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy game, as well as the second season of their Game of Thrones. There will also be new episodes added to The Walking Dead: A New Frontier.
