Rangoon Star Cast

Rangoon Movie Review

Set in the backdrop of World War II and the turmoils which emerge due to the consequences, Rangoon not only emphasizes on the global war which took place in 1939 and lasted until 1945 but also highlights the amalgamation of a dark and a Sufi love story. The initial part of the storyline portrays how Rustom Rusi Billimoria (Saif Ali Khan) buys Miss Julia (Kangana Ranaut) who happens to be a glamorous actress of those times. But things turn out to be ugly after they tie the knot, as Rustom starts dominating Julia and sets a boundary for her. Julia wants to break free from all the restrictions and sulks at times. After few days she decides to leave for a show and looks out for someone who could take care of her during that period and then comes Jamadar Nawab Malik (Shahid Kapoor) into the picture as Julia’s protector.

The potency level of the plot line elevates right after that as Julia and Jamadar Nawab Malik fall for each other. Their love is immature but it pacifies Julia as she finally breaks free from all the limitations that were set by Rustom. But things take a different turn altogether when Rustom comes to know about their hidden love. Several consequences and a twist in the storyline creeps in and few things turn out to be jaw-dropping.

Rangoon is brilliant, breathtaking and extremely engaging.
