The two magnets coming together all over again will add on to its long history of mergers and amalgamations. After the deal, Nokia becomes the largest supplier of 4G for the company. Along with the deal, the firm becomes eligible enough to the network expansion so as to provide the capacity, speed, and coverage which will help in meeting the nation’s huge wave of network demand and needs in the near future. As per the winning strategy, the available 4G network technologies across 9 circles which include several parts of Bengal, Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Mumbai, Odisha, UP East, Kerala and Maharashtra. The regions are dominantly served by Airtel and now Nokia will have a firm grip on using the networks. The States which come under Airtel 4G would mostly distribute its network in major cities of the respective regions such as Siliguri, Patna, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, etc. The firm will continue to leverage Nokia’s leading radio access technology as well as service expertise so as to expand and cover the capacity the 4G network with an increase in quality provided to the subscribers. The latest winning deal between Bharti Airtel and Nokia for $230 mn, will further support in expanding the deployed technology of 4G in 3 new circles which got added recently thus already serving in 6 circles along with enabling to launch more circular regions. The expansion took off in September thus getting enclosed today on October 17 for 230 million USD. The expansion will cover and provide access in rural, urban and suburban areas in all the 9 mentioned circles, as per the deal. According to the Statement, Nokia is all set to expand its 3G network operations in the 8 of the existing territories henceforth modernising the 2G BTS. Airtel Initiates With 4G Service in UP As per recent reports, Airtel has launched LTE network services in Uttar Pradesh which comprises of 120 villages/towns hence promising the subscribers to provide high-speed mobile broadband services. Bharti Airtel, earlier stated that it was confident to provide 4G services in 9 circles with a strong merger with Nokia mobiles handsets. The 4G service spread in 120 towns will run on 1800 MHz (FD-LTE). The beneficiary tier II & III cities include Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Agra, Allahabad, Lucknow, Meerut and Bareilly. The initial process has been started and will keep on moving ahead with the inclusion of new town at every stage. The service for 4G come with a minimal price of Rs. 249 in UP (West) for prepaid customers. They will be able to avail 10 GB data in 4G spectrum. UP (East) subscribers can avail 4G service for Rs. 255 for 10 GB data through any 4G/LTE handset. As soon as customers recharge it with 4G service or upgrade it, they will have 1 GB data instantly after the recharge wherein the rest of 9GB data can be availed through My Airtel App. Also, one subscriber can get a maximum of 3 recharges within the time-span of 90 days of the ongoing offer.
