The film is slated for a July 2018 release. Christopher McQuarrie will be returning as director and Tom Cruise (as agent Ethan Hunt) is likely to be joined by Rebecca Ferguson who’d be reprising her role as Isla Faust. Mission Impossible 6 is set to release on July 2018. Mission Impossible 6: Release Date The previous five Mission: Impossible films were produced by Cruise along with J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger. In total, the previous five Mission Impossible films were earned $2.8 billion at the worldwide box office. And the last one, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation that came out in 2015 and $121 million global opening weekend with $56 million in the U.S. and another $65 million from 40% of international markets, ending with an $682 million worldwide box office collection, as per Variety. This made plans to go ahead with Mission Impossible 6 possible. Back when Mission Impossible 6 came out, Tom Cruise had promised “…more incredible set pieces, stunts…and what I think is a very entertaining and compelling story.” Each film in the franchise has had a different director, McQuarrie who directed the previous film will return be returning as director of Mission Impossible 6. Variety reported that Ferguson too would return for the next film. Mission Impossible 6: Plot & Cast Plot details and further casting information are unknown, but since, arguably McQuarrie film was hailed by many as the best film in the franchise, expectations are really high. The same opening dates are slotted for a number of upcoming films. Warner Bro’s untitled DC Entertainment film is set for July 27, 2018, release. Paramount also announced Alexander Payne’s Downsizing would release on December 22, 2017. According to Collider, the social satire will star Mat Damon along with an ensemble cast of Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, Christoph Waltz, Neil Patrick Harris, Margo Martindale, and Alec Baldwin. Tom Cruise’s latest action flick, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, made on a $60 million budget, earned some $113 million worldwide in the first three weeks.
