After a hell lot of yes and no the long lost politician Amar Singh has finally joined back the Samajwadi Party and he has been given a ticket to the Rajya Sabha. Just ahead of the 2017 State Assembly Elections of Uttar Pradesh. According to the sources, this time, Amar Singh and Beni Prasad Verma are going to be the Rajya Sabha candidate from Samajwadi Party.


Ahead of the elections, this step is regarded as an important step for the Samajwadi Party. There have been seven nominations from the Samajwadi Party for the Rajya Sabha. The rest of the names in the list include Sanjay Seth, Sukhram Singh Yadav, Khetiraman Singh, Vishambhar Prasad Nishaad and Arwind Pratap Singh.

The meeting at which the names were announced saw the presence of the party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, the national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav, senior ministers Shivpal Yadav and Mohammad Azam Khan, special invitee chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and Kiranmoy Nanda.

On June 11th, the biennial elections have been scheduled. The number of seats are 11 for the Rajya Sabha and 13 Uttar Pradesh (UP) Legislative Council. Right now the State Assembly of Uttar Pradesh counts seats of number 403, out of which 227 MLAs belong to the Samajwadi Party.

The discussions on the return of Amar Singh to his native party were on since the last Friday when Mulayam re-inducted Beni Prasad Verma into the party. Despite being in close friendship with the party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, Beni Verma had joined the Congress.

Now that UP has witnessed so much of change in the rule that everything and anything is possible, and nothing is unexpected. So it is to be seen that who exactly wins the throne of the people’s choice and what turns do the political situation take after the State Assembly Elections of 2017.
