The campaign is led by an international non profit organisation’ The Climate Change’ which will help in increasing the global energy productivity working along with world’s most influential businesses. According to Executive Director of M&M, Pawan Goenka, Sustainability is an integral part of Mahindra’s approach to business. By signing up for EP100, we are making a significant commitment to doubling our energy productivity by 2030 on a baseline of 2005, and hope to make a strong contribution towards achieving the climate goals agreed upon at COP21. We hope many other corporations will become a part of this campaign The news will be spoken in a speech given in United Nations meet by Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra in front of various dignitaries from all over the world such as UN General Secretary Ban Ki Moon, President of France, Francois Hollande, President of the General Assembly Mogens Lykketoft and UN Messenger of Peace Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio. It will be a high level ceremony regarding Paris climate change. EP100 aims to support businesses to help achieve and implement bold climate targets.” The naive and big step taken by Mahindra & Mahindra, signing EP100 campaign, should attract other businesses in India and willingly join the campaign which will eventually help in energy productivity in global standards.
