2 ULFA Militants Held By Security Forces in Arunachal Pradesh

In the recent event of apprehension led by a joint mission, 2 militants belonging to United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) has been held by security personnel from Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The operation was headed by ajoint team of Assam Police along with Jairampur Battalion of Assam Rifles in the presence of Dao Division. The successful mission finally ended at the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

AS of now, the identification of the 2 ULFA cadres have appeared as Sarat Mohan and Chiteshwar Chetia with a possession of a revolver along with heavy ammunition. Almost Rs. 8,000 have been recovered with strong evidence of direct links from the head of the militant group ULFA.

During the interrogation, the investigative team came into knowledge regarding directly with ULFA chief thus being directly ordered by Arun Dahotia of ULFA (I). The specific tasks given by him had to be carried away appropriately having a sole motive of spreading extortion, recruitment of new cadres so as to strengthen the banned group. The two ULFA militants were in core plan to abduct a wealthy famous businessman for ransom thus to raise funds.

Apart from working together, Sarat and Chiteshwar had an ally named as Monto Sonowal hailing from Duliajan Village in Assam where he worked as an overground worker for these militants. The same has been now abducted from Phulbari who submitted similar kind of ammunitions, big amount of money and straight links from ULFA.
