2 Held with Smoke Explosive Ahead of the Next Election Phase

Right from the beginning of the electoral phase of West Bengal State Assembly Elections, violence has been prevailing all over the state. On the 25th of April another one phase is going to take place. Out of the next constituencies where the election is going to take place, the most sensitive ones include Jagaddal, Kamarhati, Howrah, etc. as the last phase went on to be the most deadly and bloody, people are expecting a better protection measure for the next phase. No sooner did a day pass than two people with bags of smoke bombs were arrested from the Howrah bridge.

The two people held were Amit Shaw and Pradip Roy. However, the smoke bombs that they were carrying were orange green smoke bomb which are generally used as flare guns in ships and defense. So this is naturally a question that what would two general people do with flare gun bombs.

According to the police men who arrested the men, the two are under observation and are being interrogated on the same incident. “These explosives are capable of producing medium to high explosion smoke. We are questioning the duo and a case has been registered under Section 9B of IE Act,” the officer said.
