The viewers have been waiting to witness Sonakshi Sinha in an unconventional character in her upcoming movie Akira which is all set to hit the theatres tomorrow. However, a nationwide strike has been summoned by the trade unions tomorrow, and the filmmakers are extremely panic-stricken right now, as to how the film will do at the box office on thefirst day of its release. Autorickshaw and cab unions haven’t yet confirmed anything, and the buses are expected to stay off roads. Movie theatres will remain open. However, it might affect the first-day box office collection of Akira as there will be less number of vehicles on the road to commute and reaching one’s destination might be a little difficult than the other days.
If predicted then Akira won’t face a major fall in the box office due to the Bharat Bandh. Because most of the times the movies are released on a Friday which is a working day and this leads the crowd to the weekends, and Akira has a plus point of Ganesh Chaturthi (September 5) which would be a holiday for most of the viewers. The production cost of the movie is Rs 30 crores and the filmmakers have already made half of the money by selling its satelliterights and music for Rs. 15. 5 crores. Akira has a good advantage of doing quite well in the box office as A Flying Jatt is going slow right now.
The viewers will hit the theatres to witness Sonakshi Sinha in the action drama film Akira because the movie would be way more different than the stereotypical Bollywood storylines. And Sonakshi has never been seen in such an avatar where she plays a badass woman. It is a women-centricmovie, and the director AR Murugadoss has highlighted the harsh scenarios and the hardships faced by the acid attack victims.
