The previous installment of the show was based on the first four books of the novel series due to which A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2 is going to be adapted from the next five books. Therefore, the plotline will depict the happenings of The Austere Academy first and end up essaying the story of The Carnivorous Carnival. The second installment of the black comedy television series is going to emphasize on the dejected life led by the Baudelaire orphans, as reported by Business Insider.

The second installment of A Series of Unfortunate Events will also highlight the agitated character of Nero, who happens to be the Vice Principal of Prufrock Prep. The fifth book in the series also depicts the Baudelaires landing up at the Prufrock Preparatory School and the motto of the boarding school reads Momento Mori, which means Remember you will die. The Baudelaire orphans will lead a melancholic life in the Prufrock Prep as some more enemies will be added to their list and due to the absence of their parents’ permission, the Baudelaires will end up staying at the Orphans Shack.

The showrunners might give a twist to the plot line of A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2 or may introduce some new characters to the black comedy television series. Some of the fans who have read all the novels might not be that overwhelmed with the idea if this speculation turns out to be true, as they would want the makers of the show to stick to the original storyline so that they can relate to it.

The actual release date of A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2 has not been officially announced yet but the fans are quite happy about the fact that the new season is going to have more episodes than the first installment.
