Mobiles Vivo V5 Plus Price Leaked in India Ahead of January 23 Launch By Maurice FabNewz Posted on January 21, 2017 Vivo V5 Plus: With more and more smartphone manufacturers are trying to target online buyers for easier marketing purposes, there are some who still market their products with the offline base in India on their minds. Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company, is one such name. But while the latest news surrounding Vivo has been pertaining to the upcoming January 23 launch of the selfie-centric Vivo V5 Plus smartphone, it appears that the device has already been made available for pre-order in India. The Vivo V5 Plus is set to launch on January 23, 2017. The news comes from an offline retailer based in Mumbai named Mahesh Telecom, who has earlier been in the news for announcing the anticipated prices of several smartphones in the country ahead of their official launch. The retailer has recently rolled out a tweet from their official account that says that the much-anticipated Vivo V5 Plus smartphone will launch in India at the price of INR 27,980 ($411 approx), and is currently up for pre-order. The retailer has also announced that there will be perks for those who order the device now in the form of a complimentary VR box. The Vivo V5 Plus is set to be launched officially in India on coming Monday. Before the retailer’s communication, there was no knowledge about the upcoming smartphone’s possible pricing. However, the link shared by the retailer is currently leading to nowhere and the tweet itself has been taken down, so it is advisable to wait for the smartphone to hit the market officially to know what it would actually cost. In terms of key specifications, the dual-SIM Vivo V5 Plus will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It will be coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage which is further expandable up to 256GB with the help of a microSD card. On the display side, the Vivo V5 Plus will come with a 5.5-inch FHD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. But while most of these features appear to be rather bland, the main surprise that the smartphone packs in can be seen in the camera department. The Vivo V5 Plus is equipped with a dual camera unit, but unlike most smartphones, this powerful unit is placed in front. The front facing camera combines a set up of a 20 MP along with an 8 MP sensor, which is aided by its Moonlight flash. The camera at the rear is a 16MP unit which comes with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and an LED flash. The new smartphone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and be powered by a 3,160mAh battery. When the actual price of the Vivo V5 Plus is made official on January 23, 2017, we will update our readers, so make sure to come back later if this device interests you.
